Mauro Sambo - electronics, tenor, alto and soprano saxs, alto and bass clarinets, percussion, double bass, mellophone.

The series of works takes its title from a drawing made by my daughter Matilde when she was attending kindergarten. "Once upon a time there was a bee who found a trumpet after he went home and played it" is a series of works made up of photographs of varying sizes, small and large drawings (dedicated to the musical instruments that I have bought in all these years , collected and played) and various materials. Stereoscopic photographs, but not similar images slightly offset within the frame (frame always the same for all the works), but two different images belonging to a story made by a "stereoscopic memory". The tool will always be inside the space on the right. The idea is to have an invented story written about the instrument or the owner of the instrument, narrated by a voice unrelated to the story (spectator), by the owner or by the instrument itself. The author of the text will have only the image of the instrument available and I will create the work before having the text. Absolutely autonomous text and image, any similarities between them will be absolutely random.
The text will be written in a small travel diary and exhibited alongside the work, becoming part of the work itself.
