Guillaume Gargaud and Eero Savela met in Helsinki on 21st of February 2020. At that night in the former mental hospital Lapinlahti they did their first improvisation together and here you have it - music as it was from the first note to the last.
Guillaume Gargaud is a French guitarist who specializes in improvised music and composition for contemporary dance and film. He collaborated with veteran pianist Burton Green on 2019’s Chant Records release “Magic Intensity,” and has worked with other artists including Marc Edwards, Stephen Grew, Guy Bettini, Jack Wright, Mike Majkowski and Korvat Auki Ensemble.
Eero Savela is a Finnish trumpet player who is interested in exploring rhythm and freedom. He works in interaction with other performing arts; dance, circus, theatre, sound & media art as a performer, musician and composer. He has lately worked with Atmosfärg, Paradox Box, Secretones and Astro Can Caravan. He builds experimental instruments that has been used in different projects.
This album is a meeting of two new friends. Coming together is always a chance for new directions, a chance to learn from each other and enjoy the free flow of music.
