FROM OBSERVATION COMES REFLECTION, AND REFLECTION CAN LEAD TO RESPECT.

The concept album "Rumore d'acqua" is a composition with libretto in three movements. Each section starts with a sung part, in the form of a canon for three voices, followed by an instrumental improvisation.
The central theme is time.
In the first canon, the text comes from an African proverb and constitutes a reflection on the concept of duration. Duration is the way time is measured, and even if it is brief, it can always contain everything. Life is all the time we have available, and this is enough. The text of the second canon comes from a Masai proverb.
Here time is associated with the idea of possession, usually a thing of the past, and it moves forward in time and becomes almost potential rather than current.
Thus time becomes substance, a study of substance and its layering.
In the third canon, the text is that of a Japanese haiku.
This describes an event which is almost insignificant, but which becomes enormous. The perception of time becomes a sensory experience, a moment of duration, a moment for receiving and discovering life. Solemnity resides in an instant.

RUMORE D'ACQUA

1)La farfalla non conta gli anni ma gli istanti, per questo il suo breve tempo le basta.

2)trattiamo bene la terra su cui viviamo, essa non ci è stata donata dai nostri padri, ma ci è stata prestata dai nostri figli.

3)Nel vecchio stagno
una rana si tuffa -
rumore d'acqua.

Dall'osservazione nasce la riflessione, e dalla riflessione può nascere il rispetto.

Il concept album "Rumore d'acqua" è una composizione su libretto divisa in tre movimenti. Ogni brano si apre con una parte cantata, caratterizzata dalla forma del canone a tre voci, alla quale segue un'improvvisazione strumentale.
Il tema centrale è quello del tempo.
Nel primo canone il testo deriva da un proverbio africano e costituisce una riflessione sul concetto di durata. La durata è ciò che conta il tempo, ed anche se breve lo può contenere sempre tutto. La vita è tutto il tempo che abbiamo a disposizione, e ciò basta.
Nel secondo canone il testo deriva invece da un proverbio masai.
Qui il tempo viene associato al concetto di possesso, il quale, generalmente un fatto del passato, si sposta in avanti e diventa quasi potenziale più che attuale.
Il tempo diventa così materia, studio sulla materia e sulla sua stratificazione.
Nel terzo canone il testo deriva da un haiku giapponese.
In esso viene descritto un evento quasi insignificante, che diventa però gigantesco. La percezione del tempo diviene qui un'esperienza sensoriale, un momento della durata, un momento di raccolta e di scoperta della vita. La solennità risiede in un istante.
