Scomu is a Sardinian word for pruning waste, metaphorically, this project is what is left from the quarantine. A sound experimentation floating between the moment you're awake and the time you fall asleep, drifting into nightmare. The experimentation alternates between guitar, electronics, sounds, field recording and noise. Scomu explores the relationship between song and noise. Massive bass runs together with abrasive strings, representing wakefulness in an unconscious feeling due to the uncertainty given by social restrictions. They continuously merge with electronic sounds recalling a nervous sleep. Voice is a mere instrument to communicate mood. The meaning of “Scomu”, is well defined by the verse “I don’t want to forget how to live the night”. Track titles are all technical words from the pruning vocabulary in Sardinian language.
